TAMA CONFERENCE & AGM 2026
Kia ora everyone,
It’s Conference year! And this year we head to the regions and the wine capital of New Zealand – Hawkes Bay. It is going to be a fantastic conference and event and I’m sure everyone is looking forward to catching up as much as we are.
The key dates and timings to put in your diaries are:
Location: Hawkes Bay
Conference Venue: Napier War Memorial Conference Centre
Accommodation: Te Pania Scenic Hotel, Napier
Date: Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th August
We have changed the format for this year’s conference in an effort to make it more cost effective and time efficient.
We will hold our AGM on the early evening of Wednesday 19th followed by welcome drinks and canapes. The 20th will be all conference starting around 9am running through to 4.30/5pm. The evening will start with a mix and mingle over a drink then into our very popular awards ceremony and presentations followed by dinner with guest speaker.
Our theme for 2026 is Maintaining Momentum in a Shifting Landscape and we have a wide range of speakers lined up for the Thursday, including the official opening by hopefully Minister Todd McClay, Minister of Agriculture, Minister of Forestry, Minister for Trade and Investment and Associate Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In the afternoon, we are exploring the idea of holding an industry expert panel and Q & A session, where we get some industry stalwarts to share some thoughts and views on the current market and what they are focusing on in their business.
Our hugely important Awards function and a dinner with guest speaker round out the day on the Thursday evening and the official closing of Conference.
Our AGM will be held on the Wednesday evening, so that those members arriving the day before for Conference can attend and we will follow that with a low-key welcome drink and canape event.
In terms of timing, below is a brief overview:
Wednesday 19th August
- TAMA AGM commencing approx. 5.30pm
- Evening drinks and canapés from 6:30pm – 7.30pm.
Thursday 20th August
- Conference will begin approx. 9:00am
- Pre-dinner drinks and canapes from approx 5.00pm
- Awards function at approx. 6.30pm
- Dinner served from approx. 7.30pm
A more detailed programme will be available closer to the time, times and speakers may vary.

Members
Conference registration for members is priced at $525 + GST per person and includes the AGM and welcome drinks, full day conference, Thursday night dinner, guest speaker.
Non-Members
Conference registration for members is priced at $625 + GST per person.
