The Tractor and Machinery Association (TAMA) has represented New Zealand’s tractor and farm-related machinery industry since 1949. The tractors, machinery and equipment our members, market, sell and maintain are the essential components that keep the wheels of New Zealand’s agricultural economy turning.
We proudly represent almost the entire industry including importers, manufacturers and retailers. Our strength lies in our ability to unify and consolidate the opinions and views of our sector, to advocate and take a stand for our members on industry issues and opportunities – ensuring all our members’ voices are heard and represented.
We monitor market trends and issues that could impact on our members and take industrywide action with government regulation/legislation, industry training and any other challenges and opportunities.
Our focus is to provide the right resources and support to members to enable their businesses and their people to grow and advance.

Wholesaler/Importer Membership
Wholesaler/Importer membership is targeted towards, the businesses and companies who are substantially engaged in the importation into, the distribution of, the retailing of and /or the manufacture of new agricultural tractors and new farm machinery equipment in New Zealand. - Receive detailed tractor sales/ delivery reports on a monthly basis down to regional, Island and National level by horsepower category.
- Receive a copy of the detailed half yearly machinery sales report, with this being conditional on the member supplying their own sales data to contribute to the overall market picture.
- Receive a copy of the Annual State of the Industry Report.
- Attendance at the biennial TAMA industry conference and other TAMA events, at a discounted member rate.
- Access to EMA services and resources at a discounted rate as a member of TAMA.
- Access to the TAMA employee scholarship scheme, to reward those people within your business.

Wholesaler/Importer Membership Costs:
The annual subscription fee commencing on 1 April is based on a company’s self-declared turnover for the year ended 31 March 2022 on the following basis:

≥ $2m ≤$5m $1,837.50
≥ $5 ≤ $10m $2,625.00
≥ $10 ≤ $20m $2,887.50
≥ $20 ≤ $35m $3,675.00
≥ $35 ≤ $50m $4,200.00
≥ $50m $7,000.30

Retail/Dealer Membership
Retail/Dealer membership is targeted towards businesses and companies associated with the agricultural tractor and machinery industry, who are engaged in the supply of tractors, equipment, machinery and other goods and services to end users of the equipment.
Retail/Dealer Membership Benefits:
- Receive a monthly high-level tractor sales/delivery report on a National and Island basis by horsepower category.

Associate membership is targeted towards businesses and companies associated with the agricultural tractor and machinery industry, who are engaged in the supply of goods and/or services to TAMA Members.
Associate Membership Benefits:
