Much like the abundance of early failed New Year’s resolutions, 2024 will go down as a year most machinery manufacturers and dealers would like to forget. However, signs of agricultural prosperity are signalling a much brighter and more prosperous 2025.

Whilst the green shoots of spring have well and truly spung around the majority of the nation (albeit with a slight delay to those unfortunate enough to be caught up in what has been described as the ‘great southern soaking’) this has yet to translate to an upswing in tractor sales.

Taking place in just over six-weeks from Wednesday 12 to Saturday 15 June at Mystery Creek, Hamilton, 2024 marks the 56th year for Aotearoa’s iconic agriculture event.

“The excitement is building as we count down the days until the gates open,” says New Zealand National Fieldays Society CEO Peter Nation. “The site is starting to take shape with a large crew of contractors here full-time. The 12th of June will be here before we know it.”
